A Little November-esque Gratitude
It's November. Meaning it is Thanksgiving. Meaning that it is the month of gratitude.
I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I have been pondering, as my BYU career comes to a close, what I am the most grateful for right now. And I have to be honest, there are a lot of things for me to be grateful for.
First, I am grateful for my family. That they are able to handle my stressed out rantings and ravings and that they still love me at the end of the day. I am grateful that they are there to catch me when I fall and lift me up when I need it.
I am grateful for my friends. Like seriously, how on earth did I go from the shy kid who was afraid that no one would even WANT to like her to who I am today. I can honestly say that it is because of the many wonderful friends who have blessed my life, whether they were only in it for a moment or have stuck it out with me for years. You know who you are you wonderful folks.
I am grateful for my job. Yes it is hard and yes I wonder sometimes why I still work here after so many years, but it is good. And it is what I need right now.
I am grateful for Divine Comedy. Honestly, I was going to put this at the top and then thought "megs, you have to put your family first, it is like an unwritten rule!" However, DC is my family away from my family. And I love them. Like a family. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for the influence for good they have been in my life.
Also, I am grateful for my Savior. I am grateful for the times that I feel like I should send a text to a friend or visit them, even if it isn't convenient for me. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to be there for someone else, even in a small way. I am grateful for my testimony and the rock that it is in my life.
That's where I am today. Maybe later I will post more, but that is where my gratitude is for now.
