Watch Out World

Guys,

I always seem to conveniently "forget" just how much I need sleep.  Not a little sleep.  I am talking hours and hours of deep, restful, uninterupted sleep.

The terror all started sometime last week when for NO reason my body decided that sleeping was like totes boring and that I didn't need it anymore.  So I would fail to fall asleep.  Or wake up in the middle of the night.  Or sleep so lightly that the cranky cat outside my apartment would wake me.  You catch the drift.

THEN my sister came and stayed for the weekend.  We stayed up til midnight...then woke up at like...early.  It was gross, you guys.  I never knew that it was possible to BE up that early on a Saturday.  barf.

THEN it got stupid-hot super fast in Utah.  And since I am one of the many, the ashamed, the poor college students residing in Provo, I have no money.  Money is what is required to pay for Air Conditioning.  When Spring started I thought it would be such a GREAT idea to not use my AC.  Now that it feels like I somehow transplanted my apartment into the jaws of Hell, I am not so sure this was a good idea.  Call me a whiner all you want, but I MAYBE got three hours of sleep last night.

I have already cried for no reason once at work today.  Anyone who asks me a question I want to murder.

I need chocolate.  I need sleep.  I might need a puppy to help solve this crisis.  And I don't even like puppies.

Someone save me.

  1. I think we're on the same brain waves because I haven't been sleeping so great myself and I thought it was because of too much light coming into our bedroom in the morning (east facing window--blech), so we put up black out drapes. Well, it's awesome to not have the sun streaming in starting at 5am every day, but apparently that was no the problem keeping me from sleep.

And it's IMPOSSIBLE to sleep when it's too hot. Something I've tried before is to freeze a corn or rice bag (like the kind that you heat up in the winter) and keep it by my feet or on my legs at night. Also, if you could open a window at night, that might help, if you haven't already tried it. Yeah, AC bills kinda suck a lot in the summer.

The moral of the story is that my grandparents have a very cold basement that you could have all to yourself for a whole night if you need to get out of your apartment and sleep someplace else. Buy the good ear plugs at Macey's in Provo before you go and definitely use them, and you will have a good chance of sleeping like a baby in a nice, cold, awesomely king sized bed! Seriously, let me know and I can arrange everything. They're house is kind of like a hotel that takes referrals, and they love visitors! Loves!
